(KRON) — Grammy-winning DJ and producer Diplo is bringing back his annual run to San Francisco. “Diplo’s Run Club” is having its third rendition this fall in San Francisco, it was announced Thursday in a news release.
The 5-kilometer run will take place at Golden Gate Park on Saturday, Oct. 18, specifically at Robin Williams Meadow, the same gathering spot as last year’s event. After the conclusion of the 3.1-mile run, Diplo will play a set for a post-race concert.
San Francisco was the original home of Diplo’s Run Club, according to the release.
“Music and fitness are such large parts of my life, it’s very special for me to be able to share both of those things with my fans together in one event,” Diplo said in the release. “We had a hundred thousand people run and party with me last year; I can’t wait to do it with even more people this time around.”
Perhaps San Franciscans can once again expect Mayor Daniel Lurie to join in on the run. Lurie said roughly 12,000 people participated in last year’s event.
