(BCN) — A Vallejo soul food restaurant will be closed indefinitely after a fire broke out early Sunday morning, according to the Vallejo Fire Department.
Firefighters responded at about 3:45 a.m. to the fire at Noonie’s Place, a restaurant in the 2300 block of Sonoma Boulevard.

No injuries were reported in the response, which involved 25 firefighters, one fire engine, a battalion chief and an ambulance, a fire department spokesperson said.
The fire was believed to have started in a break room and storage area.

Damage to the structure was estimated to be about $300,000 and the inventory and other losses were estimated at about $250,000. Both the business’ owner and building’s owner had valid insurance, according to fire officials.
The restaurant was declared inoperable as of Sunday. The exact cause remained under investigation at that time.
