SMCSO said deputies responded to the collision around 4 p.m. on Jan. 8 to the area of Fassler Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway to investigate the report of a traffic collision.
“The woman was alert and sustained injuries believed to be minor at the time,” said the sheriff’s office in a statement to KRON4. “She was treated at the scene and transported to an area hospital for further medical evaluation.”
On Wednesday, SMCSO learned that the woman died at the hospital on Jan. 20. It is not yet known if her death was directly tied to any injuries suffered from the crash.
The cause of death will be determined by the San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
