(BCN) — Police in Marin County arrested a man over the weekend on suspicion of stealing personal information and credit cards from a vehicle and being in possession of narcotics, the Central Marin Police Department said.
On Saturday, a Corte Madera resident told police that their car had been burglarized overnight as it was parked near Corte Madera Town Park. The victim said documents with their personal identity on them and some credit cards were taken that were used at several stores throughout the county.
Investigators got hold of surveillance footage that contained an image of the suspect.An officer recognized the man as allegedly being part of a suspicious vehicle case two nights earlier and identified him, police said Monday.

A be-on-the-lookout order was sent out to the department, but before that, an officer saw him driving a vehicle on Paradise Drive in Corte Madera on Sunday and made a traffic stop. He was arrested on suspicion of grand theft.
Officers allege they saw items in the car that gave them probable cause to search his vehicle. Several grams of methamphetamine and fentanyl were allegedly seized. Officers also allegedly found burglary tools and stolen mail from Tiburon. Police also said they found evidence from the Corte Madera theft with the victim’s name on it.
The man was booked into jail on suspicion of crimes including burglary, fraudulent use of a credit card and identity theft.
