(KRON) — The California Department of Fish and Wildlife said it recently responded to a report of a mountain lion that was discovered under a vehicle. No injuries were reported.
Enormous sea lion named Chonkers seen on San Francisco pier
The incident happened in the San Diego area, according to CDFW in a social media post Tuesday afternoon.
“The healthy male lion was safely sedated, collared and released near Cleveland National Forest,” said CDFW.

It is not clear how the animal initially ended up under the vehicle.

Authorities added that the situation was “a great example of teamwork with local law enforcement to protect both people and wildlife.”
