(KRON) — A preliminary 2.5-magnitude earthquake shook the East Bay Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The epicenter was 0.7 miles east southeast of Pinole and 1.2 miles south of Hercules, at a depth of 3.1 miles.
The quake occurred at 7:57 a.m., USGS said. People reported feeling the shaking in Contra Costa County near the epicenter, according to USGS’s “Did You Feel It?” survey.
